New calls in Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme 2014-2020 published

The DG Justice of the European Commission has published four new calls for proposals in the Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme 2014 - 2020. Except a new Daphne call, there are three new actions grants open for submission. The total budget is € 7,755,000.

The call 'Action grants to support MS activities to promote Roma integration' (indicator: JUST/2015/RDIS/AG/NRCP) is a restricted call for Member States only. Activities should aim at developing a National Roma Platform as a process for dialogue, cooperation and coordination of all stakeholders. The indicative available budget is € 1,755,000. Deadline for submitting applications is 10 September 2015.

The Daphne call 'Action grants to support transnational projects to combat sexual harrassment and sexual violence against women' (indicator: JUST/2015/RDAP/AG/SEXV) has an indicative available budget of  € 3,000,000. Deadline for submitting applications is 13 October 2015. The call aims to co-fund transnational projects to combat sexual harassment and sexual violence against women and girls, in line with the specific objective to prevent and combat all forms of violence against children, young people and women, as well as violence against other groups at risk, in particular groups at risk of violence in close relationships, and to protect victims of such violence (Daphne).

The call 'Actions grants to support transnational projects on promoting the quality of the national justice systems' (indicator: JUST/2015/JACC/AG/QUAL) has an indicative available of € 1,000,000. It aims to co-fund transnational projects promoting the quality of the national justice systems, in line with the specific objective to facilitate effective access to justice for all. Deadline for submitting applications is 13 October 2015.


The call 'Action grants to support projects to enhance the rights of persons suspected or accused of crime' (indicator: JUST/2015/JACC/AG/PROC) aims to co-fund transnational and or national projects that contribute to the effective and coherent application of EU criminal law in the area of the rights of persons suspected or accused of crime and to the preparation of new EU action, in line with the specific objective to facilitate effective access to justice for all.  The indicative available budget is € 2,000,000. Deadline for submitting applications is 28 October 2015.


The Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme (RECP), a funding programme of DG Justice, contributes to the further development of an area where equality and the rights of persons, as enshrined in the Treaty, the Charter and international human rights conventions, are promoted and protected. Its nine specific objectives are to:

Promote non-discrimination;
Combat racism, xenophobia, homophobia and other forms of intolerance;
Promote rights of persons with disabilities;
Promote equality between women and men and gender mainstreaming;
Prevent violence against children, young people, women and other groups at risk (Daphne);
Promote the rights of the child;
Ensure the highest level of data protection;
Promote the rights deriving from Union citizenship;
Enforce consumer rights.
