Four Horizon 2020 calls launched

The European Commission has launched four calls for projects under the programme Horizon 2020 - EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. The calls are published under the challenges Health and Food security of the main pillar Societal Challenges. One of them is a new call, namely Personalising health and care with call identifier H2020-PHC-2015-single-stage_RTD.

The calls are the following:
• (new) Personalising health and care - H2020-PHC-2015-single-stage_RTD: Deadline of submission is February 24, 2015. The budget is € 88,000,000;
• Personalising health and care - H2020-PHC-2015-two-stage: Deadline of submission is October 14, 2014, and for Stage 2 the deadline has been extended from February 24, 2015 to April 21, 2015. The budget has been changed from € 330,000,000 to € 306,000,000;
• Health Co-ordination activities - H2020-HCO-2015: The deadline of submission has been advanced from April 21, 2015 to February 24, 2015. The budget remains € 29,000,000;
• Blue Growth: Unlocking the potential of Seas and Oceans - H2020-BG-2015-1: Deadline of submission is June 11, 2015. The budget is € 2,000,000.

Horizon 2020 is the successor of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP). The budget is € 80 billion for the 7 years duration of the programme. Organisations that are involved in research, technological development, and innovation on an international scale and individual researchers can participate in the programme.
