More information on new Calls for (Core-)Partners of Clean Sky 2

Participation in Clean Sky 2 can be three-fold: Leaders through Calls for Tender; Core Partners through Calls for Core Partners: similar to Associates in Clean Sky today; and Partners through Calls for Proposals (CfP): similar to CfP in Clean Sky today. The selection of Core-Partners for the Clean Sky 2 Programme will take place in 3 subsequent waves over the 2014-2016 Period. The First Call for Core-Partners of Clean Sky 2 is now open, which has a deadline of October 15, 2014. For more information on these calls and the timeline for the first Call for Partners please click here.

Clean Sky 2 will enable a natural continuation to the progress achieved in the first Clean Sky Programme launched under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7), which will end in 2017. The projects included in this first ground-breaking aeronautical JTI Programme are demonstrating strong results: the potential for significant reductions in emissions, important noise reductions, and more efficient use of raw materials and the Earth's resources. Close alignment in time and in content between projects of Clean Sky 2 to its predecessor will allow for a seamless transmission of technical progress. Key elements of Clean Sky 2 are:
• Higher level of integration of technologies into vehicle level demonstrators (Large Passenger Aircraft, Regional Aircraft, Fast Rotorcraft);
• System-level Demonstrators and focused technology streams for Airframes, Engines and Systems;
• Transverse co-ordination of research activity in Small Air Transport (SAT) and Eco-Design;
• A continued robust and independent analysis of progress towards the programme goals via the Technology Evaluator.
