Hamdan International Awards 2015 ($ 68,000)

At the Executive Office Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences nominations can be submitted for its International Awards. Deadline for submitting nominees is November 30, 2015. The awards contains 3 categories, namely the Grand Hamdan International Award, the Hamdan Award for Medical Research Excellence and the Hamdan Award for Volunteers in Humanitarian Medical Services.

The Grand Hamdan International Award is unique in that it not only awards quality but also dedication to the alleviation of the sufferings of humanity through research and exemplary service. The Award consists of
a sum of approximately $ 68,000.


The Hamdan Award for Medical Research Excellence is established to honour and recognise the contributions of distinguished researchers whose works have positively affected thousands of lives globally. Three winners receive each approximately $ 27,000.

The Hamdan Award for Volunteers in Humanitarian Medical Services is presented to four personalities or organizations who provide important voluntary services and who significantly contribute to alleviating the suffering of a large number of human beings subjected to exceptional circumstances such as catastrophes, epidemics, famine, wars and natural calamities. The prize is awarded to four winners: two individuals who receive each approximately $ 13,500 and two institutions which receive approximately $ 27,000.
