New Partnership STW with Bronkhorst High Tech and KROHNE Altometer

Technology Foundation STW and the companies Bronkhorst High-Tech and KROHNE Altometer invite academic researchers to submit pre-proposals for research projects that may give answers to the scientific and technological challenges in their Partnership programme plan: FLOW+ Real-time flow and composition measurement. Deadline for registration is December 8, 2015. The overall budget for the call is € 2.85 million.
The budget funded is 50/50 between STW and the industrial partners Bronkhorst and KROHNE. The requested project costs from STW are up to € 750,000 per project.

STW, Bronkhorst High Tech and KROHNE Altometer want to achieve the following objectives, by means of providing the following deliverables:

generate new knowledge of manufacturing and measurement technologies in the field of flow and composition measurement;
develop new methods, tools (a toolbox) and calibration means for determining both the flow rate and its composition with a low uncertainty; the technologies in which the tools and toolbox are realised are preferably compatible with the surface channel technology;
realise demonstrators (TRL6 (technology readiness level)) of devices and systems with which both flow rate and composition can be determined in several fields of application, as mentioned below.

A typical Partnership project duration is between 2 to 4 years, but may not exceed 5 years. The duration of the Partnership programme is 5 years. Researchers employed by Dutch universities or para-academic institutes eligible for STW-funding can apply.

Parties interested to submit pre-proposals can discuss their project ideas with representatives of Bronkhorst and KROHNE at the matchmaking event on October 23, 2015, organised to provide an opportunity to discuss project ideas with both companies.
