Crystal Cabin Award announces new application period

The object of the Crystal Cabin Award is to motivate companies and research facilities to develop new products and modern designs for aircraft cabin interiors. The Award Association has announced the application period for a new competition. It runs from 8 October until 11 November 2014. The prize-giving ceremony will take place in Hamburg within the Aircraft Interiors Expo in April 2015.

For the new competition participants compete in seven categories: Greener Cabin, Health, Safety & Environment; Industrial Design & Visionary Concepts; Material & Components; Passenger Comfort Hardware; Passenger Comfort Systems; Premium Class & VIP; University.

In each category there will be a first prize - in case there are at least three applicants per category - with a certificate and a well-crafted, precious trophy. If the first prize is awarded to a finalist in the category University, the student of the university or college receives a certificate, a trophy as well as a prize money of € 1,500.
