European Synchrotron Radiation Facility - Applying for beam time 2018

The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) offers universities and industrial firms the possibility to apply for beam time. The upcoming deadline to submit proposals is September 10, 2017, for beam time from March 2018 to July 2018. Requests for beam time are based on shifts of 8 hours. Allocations of beam time will usually be made in multiples of 3 shifts.  Two proposal review rounds are held each year.

Due to the long shutdown for the EBS, the next deadline for the submission of Long-Term Project (LTP) applications will be January 15, 2020.

The ESRF is the world's most intense X-ray source and a centre of excellence for fundamental and innovation-driven research in condensed and living matter science. Each year several thousand researchers travel to Grenoble, where they work in a first-class scientific environment to conduct exciting experiments at the cutting edge of modern science.
