EUROGIA2020 announces latest call
EUROGIA2020, the EUREKA low-carbon energy technology cluster launched its latest call in June 2016. Each call of the cluster has a two-step project submission process, through which project proposals are assessed and receive recommendations from the EUROGIA Technical Committee. Proposals successfully completing the two-step process, receive the EUROGIA label and finally seek for public funds in EUREKA Member and Associated Countries. The next cut-off dates are September 16 and November 18, 2016.Projects' participants must be organisations from the EUREKA Member Countries. As a consortium of partners, they submit a project proposal to EUROGIA2020 for technical evaluation.
The goal of EUROGIA2020 is to support and promote international partnerships developing innovative projects in low-carbon energy technologies. It is a bottom-up, industry driven, market oriented programme which addresses all areas of the energy mix, from renewable energy to efficiency, and reduction of carbon footprint of fossil fuels.
EUROGIA2020 is a cluster of the EUREKA network, a decentralized intergovernmental initiative started in 1985 to enhance European competitiveness by supporting businesses, research centers and universities that take part in trans-national projects. It addresses all innovative energy technologies that will:
reduce the carbon footprint of energy production and use;
develop new technologies for energy such as solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, energy efficiency, etc.
