Cardiology - ESC Interventional Cardiology Training and Research Grants 2014 (€ 25,000)

The European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI), part of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), invites applications for its Interventional Cardiology Training and Research Grants. Dedaline of submissions is January 15, 2014. The research or training period is 12 months. Awards for shorter periods will not be considered. Applicants must be under 36 at the day of application deadline.

The aim of the EAPCI programme is to provide an opportunity for specialised research or clinical training in the interventional cardiology field, for medical graduates at any stage in their career but before obtaining a "permanent", "senior staff" or "consultant" position, in an ESC regular member country other than their own. The goal of this award is to give the opportunity to 'young' candidates from an ESC member country to broaden their clinical and research skills through a one-year maximum experience in cardiology practices outside their own country and enable them to contribute to the enhancement of their country's academic standards upon return in their own country as well as encouraging exchanges and interactions from country to country.

ESC has developed a range of grants to help young professionals in the field of cardiology access quality training or research activities throughout Europe.
