New NICHE tender for Bangladesh published

Nuffic has published a new NICHE call for subsidy tenders for a project in Bangladesh. The closing date for applications is November 23, 2016. The call Strengthening the Chittagong Port Authority Training Institute (NICHE-BGD-292), has a budget of € 1,050,000 (€ 1,000,000 NICHE grant maximum plus 5% from CPA). Instead of the regular NICHE tender procedure, EP-Nuffic invites organisations to hand in a Letter of Intent (LOI). The LOI should describe clearly what the applicant has to offer, how the outcomes formulated by the requesting organisation will be achieved and what strategies will be adopted to achieve the NICHE country programme outcomes. The Netherlands Initiative for Capacity development in Higher Education (NICHE) is a Netherlands-funded development cooperation programme aimed at sustainable strengthening of higher education and technical and vocation education and training (TVET) capacity in partner countries, thus contributing to economic development and poverty reduction. The programme focuses on the countries and policy priorities identified in the Dutch bilateral cooperation programme. In line with the current development policy of the Netherlands NICHE focuses on four policy priorities:

Water; 
Food security; 
Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR); 
Security and the rule of Law.
