H&M Conscious Foundation launches the first Global Change Award
The Global Change Award, initiated by the H&M Conscious Foundation, is looking for early stage ideas that add circularity throughout the whole value chain of the fashion industry. Five winners will share a grant of € 1 million and get access to a tailor-made Innovation Accelerator during one year, provided by the H&M Conscious Foundation in collaboration with KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and Accenture. Each winner is awarded a grant sum of € 100,000. The global public will be invited to distribute half of the total grant through an online vote. The result will be revealed at a grand award ceremony in Stockholm, in February 2016.
The Global Change Award is looking for ideas that will protect the earth’s natural resources. The innovation isn't yet on the market or implemented, and should be scalable to potentially be rolled out throughout the global fashion industry. The competition is open to individuals or groups of two (2) to five (5) individuals from any country, eighteen years of age or older on the day of the submission of the Entry, and all institutions and organizations (excluding solely commercial entities like corporations), domiciled in any country and legally recognized as such in that country, in which all owners and/or leading persons are eighteen years of age or older on the day of the submission of the Entry. Deadline for applications is 31 October 2015, at 10 pm CET. However, if you choose to submit your entry before 30 September, you have an extra chance to win a study trip to Shanghai in 2016.
