Twenty-one talented researchers awarded with Rubicon grant

NWO has awarded 21 talented researchers with a Rubicon grant. The aim of the Rubicon programme is to encourage talented researchers at Dutch universities and research institutes run by KNAW and NWO to dedicate themselves to a career in postdoctoral research. Rubicon offers researchers who have completed their doctorates in the past year the chance to gain experience at a top research institution outside the Netherlands (maximum of two years).

Nine researchers will leave for the United States and eight for the United Kingdom. Furthermore three for Switzerland, two for Germany and one for Australia and one for Denmark. NWO received 77 applications altogether for Rubicon. The grants are granted in the second funding round of 2016, which closed December 1, 2016.
