Travel grant for young female scientists (€ 1,500)

The Dutch Network of Women Professors (LNVH) invites applications for the Distinguished Women Scientists Fund Travel grant. Deadline for submitting applications is October 1, 2014. The grant is created for female postdocs up to three years after their promotion, residing in the Netherlands, who, within the framework of their discipline, wish to travel abroad. Four laureates will be chosen in the discplines of humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, medical sciences.

The 3-year term can be extended to 18 months per child, due to pregnancy and birth, or by a term of, at most, 18 months, as a compensation for the necessary care given to family members, or other relevant family circumstances. The travel grant is solely intended for journeys made within the framework of the discipline - e.g. visiting a foreign scientific institution; field- or archive research, or an internship. The maximum amount for a travel grant is € 1,500.
