New application term of the Crystal Cabin Award announced

The object of the Crystal Cabin Award is to motivate companies and research facilities to develop new products and modern designs for aircraft cabin interiors. The Award Association has announced the application period for a new competition. It runs from 10 October until 4 November 2015. For the competition 2015 the participants compete in seven categories:


Greener Cabin, Health, Safety & Environment;

Industrial Design & Visionary Concepts;

Material & Components;

Passenger Comfort Hardware;

Passenger Comfort Systems;

Premium Class & VIP;
University.


In each category there will be a first prize - in case there are at least three applicants per category - with a certificate and a well-crafted, precious trophy. If the first prize is awarded to a finalist in the category University, the student of the university or college receives a certificate, a trophy as well as a prize money of € 1,500. The Crystal Cabin Award is the only international award for excellence in aircraft interior innovation, donated by the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
