Alzheimer's - Alzheimer's Research UK grants 2014 (£ 1,000,000)

The Alzheimer’s Research UK invites applications for different grant schemes. Deadline for submitting applications is January 24, 2014. Researchers can apply for:
• Research Fellowship: up to three years and covers salary and research and travel costs. These costs are normally for up to £10,000 per annum but ARUK will consider requests for up to £15,000 per annum if there is sufficient justification with inherently costly research (eg imaging, animal work);
• Major Project: awards are worth a maximum of £ 1 million and last up to five years;
• Travelling Research Fellowships: salary for up to three years and a contribution towards research and travel costs of up to £ 55,000;
• Senior Research Fellowship: can cover a Fellow salary, support staff and running costs up to a total of £ 330,000 over three years;
• Interdisciplinary Research Grant: up to £ 250,000 over a maximum of 36 months for high quality research projects. This scheme can cover salaries (research, technical, students etc.), equipment, animal costs and running costs (consumables, travel etc.).
