Sculpture - Henry Moore Foundation grants 2017 (£ 20,000)
The Henry Moore Foundation invites applications for its grant programme. Upcoming deadline for submissions is March 6, 2017. The foundation awards grants in five categories, namely New Projects, Collections, Research and Development, Fellowships and Conferences, Lectures and Publications. Grants are up to £ 20,000.
The Henry Moore Foundation supports sculpture across historical, modern and contemporary registers, seeking to fund research that expands the appreciation of sculpture. More specifically, the Foundation supports exhibitions, exhibition catalogues, commissions, conferences, research, fellowships, publications, residencies and the development of collections through acquisitions, conservation, cataloguing and display.
Grants are the following:
- New projects: this includes exhibitions, exhibition catalogues and commissions;
- Collections: this category includes acquisitions, conservation, cataloguing and display;
- Research and Development:
- Long-term Research: for projects that require funding for more than one year, e.g. a permanent collection catalogue,
- Small Research Grants: for research on the history and interpretation of sculpture. Academics, curators and independent scholars may apply for research costs, e.g. travel, photographs, archival access;
- Fellowships for Artist Residencies: the artist must be supported by a host institution for residencies that can last from two to six months. The host institution should apply for the grant;
- Conferences, Lectures and Publications: this category supports books and journals, but not exhibition catalogues, as these are eligible under New Projects.
