Autism Speaks has extended the deadline for submitting Letters of Intent for the Meixner Postdoctoral Fellowship in Translational Research. The new closing date is December 2, 2014. The goal of the program is to support well-qualified postdoctoral scientists pursuing training in autism spectrum disorders (ASD) translational research. Applicants at non-profit and for-profit institutions, like universities, hospitals, governmental entities, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies may apply.
Successful applicants will detail a project that bridges basic laboratory research and behavioral or biomedical clinical research, and a training plan that includes mentoring in both basic and clinical research environments.
Collaborative projects between public and private entities that diversify the training experience of the applicant are acceptable and encouraged. The postdoctoral fellowship stipend level will be determined by the number of years of postdoctoral experience at the time of the award up to $ 63,700 per year for a period of three years.
