New calls from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation ($ 500,000)
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) has a number of upcoming deadlines for its funding opportunities. New Requests for Applications include Beta Cell Function Analysis Facility, Discovery and Validation of Biomarkers for Recent-Onset Human Type 1 Diabetes RFA and Short-term Fellowships for Discovery Consortia. Funding levels differ.
These are all the upcoming deadlines:
• Beta Cell Function Analysis Facility: Application Deadline: December 1, 2014. The applicant must propose a budget per batch of cells tested. Indirect costs may not exceed 10% of the direct costs;
• Discovery and Validation of Biomarkers for Recent-Onset Human Type 1 Diabetes RFA: Expression of Interest deadline: November 14, 2014. Strategic Research Agreements (SRAs) are up to $ 250,000 per year including 10% indirect costs for up to two years. Discovery and Development: Pilot & Feasibility Grants (P&Fs) are up to $ 110,000 (including 10% indirect costs) for one year only, Discovery and Development: Strategic Research Agreements (SRAs) are up to $ 165,000 USD per year including 10% indirect costs for up to two years;
• Short-term Fellowships for Discovery Consortia: Application Deadline: December 12, 2014. Supplement Application for a maximum budget of $ 10,000 for six months (including 10% indirect costs);
• Strategic Research Agreements: Application Deadlines: November 10, 2014 and February 3, 2015. The amount of funding differs per project;
• Conference Grants: submit applications 3-6 months prior to meeting date. The amount of funding differs per project.
