Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation - new funding opportunities ($ 2 million)
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) has published two new Request for Applications. The programme 'Improved Longevity for Sub-cutaneous Insulin Infusion' has a deadline of September 22, 2015. The programme 'Developing and Testing Retrievable Devices and Scaffolds for Beta Cell Replacement Therapies' has a deadline of October 15, 2015. JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.
These are all the upcoming deadlines:
Improved Longevity for Sub-cutaneous Insulin Infusion: Projects should request costs commensurate with activities proposed for milestone-based funding of up to 2 years. Indirect costs may not exceed 10% of the direct costs. The level of funding will vary depending on the scope and overall objectives of the proposal. Application deadline is September 22, 2015;
Developing and Testing Retrievable Devices and Scaffolds for Beta Cell Replacement Therapies: Each project may request up to total $ 300,000 per year (including 10 % indirect costs), for up to three years. Proposals containing clinical study components may request up to total of $ 660,000 per year (including 10% indirect costs), for up to three years. Pilot and feasibility studies without significant preliminary data may request up to total $ 150,000 per year for one year (including 10 % indirect costs). Application deadline is October 15, 2015;
Strategic Research Agreements: the amount of funding differs per project. Application deadlines are August 14, 2015, November 13, 2015, and February 5, 2016;
Conference Grants: the amount of funding differs per project. Please submit applications 3-6 months prior to meeting date.
