Cancer - Swiss Bridge Award 2017 (CH 500,000)

Swiss Bridge, a private foundation associated with the Swiss Cancer League, the Swiss Cancer Research foundation and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), invites applications for its Swiss Bridge Award 2017. Deadline of submissions is April 30, 2017. Up to 3 projects will receive funding amounting to a total support of 500,000 Swiss Francs.

The award provides funding for investigators who have made outstanding contributions in the field of rare cancer. Rare tumors are identified as those having an incitence rate less than 6/100,000/year. This year, young investigators with projects focusing on the tumour microenvironment are eligible for application.

Investigators from academic and cancer research institutions in Europe are invited to submit a note of intent for a new cancer research project. Proposals will be screened by an international scientific jury. 6-8 investigators will be shortlisted and invited to submit (by email) a detailed application by end of July 2017.
