Three more Horizon calls open for applications
The European Commission has launched three more calls for projects under the programme Horizon 2020 - EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. The calls are published under the challenge Secure, clean and efficient energy of the main pillar Societal Challenges. Deadline of all three calls is June 4, 2015.
The calls are the following:
Energy Efficiency - Market Uptake PDA - H2020-EE-2015-4-PDA: Budget of the call is € 18,500,000;
Energy Efficiency - Market Uptake - H2020-EE-2015-3 MarketUptake: Budget of the call is € 40,800,000;
Energy Efficiency Research & Innovation - H2020-EE-2015-2-RIA: Budget of the call is € 21,850,000.
The Energy Challenge is designed to support the transition to a reliable, sustainable and competitive energy system. To make the transition to a competitive energy system, we need to overcome a number of challenges, such as increasingly scarce resources, growing energy needs and climate change.
Horizon 2020 is the successor of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP). The budget is € 80 billion for the 7 years duration of the programme. Organisations that are involved in research, technological development, and innovation on an international scale and individual researchers can participate in the programme.
