Horizon 2020 calls 2014-2015 launched

The European Commission has launched the calls for projects under the programme Horizon 2020 - EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. Worth more than € 15 billion over 2014-2015, the funding is intended to help boost Europe's knowledge-driven economy, and tackle issues that will make a difference in people's lives.

For the first time, the EC has indicated funding priorities over two years, providing researchers and businesses with more certainty than ever before on the direction of EU research policy. Most calls from the 2014 budget are already open for submissions as of today, with more to follow over the course of the year.

A complete list of open calls and related documents can be found through the Participant Portal.

Horizon 2020 is the successor of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP). The budget is € 80 billion for the 7 years duration of the programme. Organisations that are involved in research, technological development, and innovation on an international scale and individual researchers can participate in the programme.
