Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings 2016

The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) invites nominations for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. For the 2016 Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting to be held from June 26 - July 1, 2016, Nobel Laureates in Physics will be invited. About 400 highly-talented young scientists will be the audience for their lectures, for panel discussions and for small-size discussion sessions. Nominations must be submitted no later than October 1, 2015.

Each year the Lindau Foundation organises a six day meeting between thirty Nobel laureates and five hundred top young researchers from more than fifty countries. The Academy selects the Dutch top researchers. The meetings are dedicated alternately to chemistry, physics, and medicine/physiology. Every five years, the meeting is interdisciplinary in nature. Meetings in the economic sciences have taken place every five years since 2004. The Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings began organising this event in 1951. The KNAW has participated since 2008.
