New architecture prize launced

The Danish Agency for Culture and Schmidt Hammer Lassen architects have launched a new architecture prize: the ' Public Library of the Year Award '. The price is the start of a program that encourages communities to develop the public library of the future. Nominations can be submitted up to 3 August. With the Award is an amount of 25,000 DKK (€ 3,350) at stake.

The contest is open to public libraries from all over the world who are open from 2012. The prize will be awarded in August, at the annual Conference of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) in Lyon.
