Cognitive mechanisms - Fondation Fyssen International Prize 2013 (€ 60,000)

The Fyssen Foundation is looking for candidates for its International Prize. The closing date for reception of nominations is November 4, 2013. Worth € 60,000, the International Prize is awarded every year to a scientist who has conducted distinguished research in the areas supported by the Foundation such as ethology, paleontology, archaeology, anthropology, psychology, epistemology, logic and the neurosciences. The topic for this year's Prize is “Human Cognitive Development”.

The aim of Fyssen Foundation is to "encourage all forms of scientific inquiry into cognitive mechanisms, including thought and reasoning, which underlie animal and human behaviour ; their biological and cultural bases, and phylogenetic and ontogenetic development".
