Last round TOP-PUNT grants open for applications

NWO invites proposals from researchers within the chemical sciences for the last round of the TOP-PUNT grants. Deadline for submitting proposals is September 15, 2015. Via the 'Sectorplan natuur- en scheikunde' extra budget is available for scientific research in chemistry. Chemical Sciences finances TOP-PUNT grants from this budget. For the round 2015-2016, € 5.25 million is available.

TOP-PUNT grants are for small teams of full professors appointed at chemical centers of excellence. They can use the grant to jointly set up, strengthen or renew challenging and innovative lines of research. The grants should boost the research in the chemical centers of excellence. The chemical centers of excellence have been established on recommendation of the 'Commissie Breimer'. Grants are up to € 1,750,000.
