Two new DG Home Affairs calls

The DG Home Affairs of the European Commission has published two new calls for proposals, namely 'Fighting Cybercrime and Child Sexual Abuse' and 'Law Enforcement Information Exchange'. Deadlines are respectively January 14 and January 16, 2015. For both calls the co-funding rate is up to 90% of the total eligible costs. Applications seeking EU co-funding of less than € 250,000 will be rejected.

The budget for the call Fighting Cybercrime and Child Sexual Abuse is € 5,000,000 and for Law Enforcement Information Exchange the total budget is € 6,000,000.

European Union (EU) States are committed to increasing cooperation on cross-border issues, such as asylum, migration, border control, organised crime and terrorism. As part of the European Commission, Directorate-General (DG) Home Affairs prepares EU-level rules in these policy areas and watches over their application. This DG is also responsible for funding related projects in EU States.

One of the EU's fundamental objectives is to create an area of free movement where the rights and security of both EU citizens and non-EU nationals are guaranteed. The aim of Home Affairs is to ensure that people may undertake in a stable, lawful and secure environment all activities (cultural, social and economic) that further the EU's growth.
