Rosalind Franklin Programme: University of Groningen invites 30 female fellows (€ 5,070/month)
The University of Groningen announces the recruitment period for 30 new fellows in the prestigious Rosalind Franklin Programme. Top female researchers are invited to apply in the upcoming round, which starts on October 1, 2014, and ends on December 1, 2014. The applicant must not have resided or carried out her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the Netherlands for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference date of November 30, 2014.
The University of Groningen has initiated the prestigious Rosalind Franklin Fellowship programme to promote the advancement of talented international researchers at the highest levels of the institution. The programme attracts the best researchers from all over the world to perform research in their own field of research. The programme is aimed at women in academia or research institutes who have a PhD and would like a career as a full professor in a top European research university. Positions are available in these areas.
For the Rosalind Franklin Fellow/UD, the appointment will be on a temporary basis for a maximum of 6 years. On completion of 4-5 years of employment there will be an assessment of performance based on established criteria including research and teaching qualifications. If the outcome of the assessment is positive, the assistant professor will be promoted to the rank of associate professor with tenure. At the end of a further 4-7 year period there will be another assessment aimed at a promotion to full professor;
The University of Groningen offers a starting salary for the Rosalind Franklin Fellow/UD, dependent on qualifications and relevant work experience, with a minimum of € 3,259 gross per month (salary scale 11 Dutch Universities) to a maximum of € 5,070 gross per month (salary scale 12 Dutch Universities) for a full-time position. For the Associate professor dependent on qualifications and work experience a salary is offered from € 4,517 (salary scale 13 Dutch Universities) up to a maximum of € 6,039 (salary scale 14 Dutch Universities) gross per month for a full-time position. For the full professor the University of Groningen offers a salary dependent on qualifications and work experience from € 5,003 up to a maximum of € 7,285 (scale Hoogleraar 2, Dutch Universities ) gross per month for a full-time position.
