ZonMw publishes joint call between India and The Netherlands
ZonMw has launched the call Cooperation India - Netherlands: Minimally invasive techniques part of the programme Medical Devices for an Affordable Health. Deadline of submissions is May 2, 2017. Aim of the call is to stimulate sustainable Indian-Dutch research collaboration by funding joint research projects in the area of medical devices that have the explicit goal to contribute to a more sustainable health care either in India or in The Netherlands. The budget is 1,470,000 for two projects.The joint call is a cooperation between the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), the government of India and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) / the Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development (ZonMw).
Eligible research teams are composed of Dutch and Indian researchers, with active involvement in the project of a senior Principal Investigator on both the Indian and the Dutch side. ZonMw encourages active collaboration of applicants and undertakings. Funding on the Dutch side for an individual project is up to € 735,000 (3-4 years). It comprises equipment/accessories essential for the project, consumables, manpower (2 PhD students and/or Postdocs), travel, workshop and contingency. This contribution will be matched by DBT.
