Announcement new Bio-based Economy call FAPESP-NWO

In April 2017, NWO and and its sister organisation FAPESP, the State Funding Agency of the Brazilian federal state of São Paulo, will launch a new call within the theme of Biobased Economy. The call will be presented during a workshop organised on April 5 and 6. The workshop will take place in São Paulo. NWO provides a budget of € 1.8 million for the call. Funding for Dutch researchers will be up to € 300,000.

The topics of the upcoming call are embedded in the Biobased Economy in a broad sense, and will include for example biotechnology, biobased materials and energy, chemo/thermo-catalytic biomass conversion and sustainable agriculture. More information will be provided in the coming weeks. During the workshop, both Dutch and Brazilian representatives of the proposed themes will be given the opportunity to give short pitches/presentations to promote matchmaking.
