Call Fundamental knowledge for responsible blockchain innovations launched

NWO has launched the call Fundamental knowledge for responsible blockchain innovations. Deadline for submitting a compulsory Expression of Interest February 28, 2019. Multidisciplinary consortia can request funding for coherent research into socially responsible blockchain innovations as described in the Dutch Blockchain Research Agenda. The total budget per proposal is € 1.5 million.

The aim of the call is to arrive at a cohesive research programme that breaks ground for the Dutch Blockchain Research Agenda. The research should be explicitly mindful of the potential societal impact and be accordingly supported from all the relevant disciplines. The scientific focus for this call for proposals is, therefore, given by the Dutch Blockchain Research Agenda, whereas its approach follows that of the NWO responsible innovation programme. Because of the intended cohesion the full budget for the call will be committed to a single consortium. In acknowledgement that integral blockchain research is not yet a mature field of research this call aims to facilitate the formation of lasting consortia across disciplines.

The deadline for submitting full proposals is April 9, 2019.
