Atomic, Molecular, or Optical Physics - American Physical Society Doctoral Thesis Research 2015 ($ 3,000)

The American Physical Society (APS) invites applications for its Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Research in Atomic, Molecular, or Optical Physics. Closing date of submissions is December 1, 2014. The purpose is to recognize doctoral thesis research of outstanding quality and achievement in atomic, molecular, or optical physics and to encourage effective written and oral presentation of research results.

The award consists of $ 2,500 and a certificate citing the contribution made by the recipient. Finalists will all receive a travel stipend of $ 500.

The APS is a non-profit membership organization working to advance and diffuse the knowledge of physics through its outstanding research journals, scientific meetings, and education, outreach, advocacy and international activities.
