Brazil and the Netherlands - second call Biobased Economy

Dutch researchers in the Chemical - and Earth and Life Sciences are invited to submit proposals for the second call Joint Research Projects Biobased Economy in cooperation with Brazil. Deadline of submissions is September 6, 2013. The call is being announced simultaneously by CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) and NWO. The aim of the call is to strengthen research cooperation between both countries by funding joint research projects in the field of biobased economy. Brazil and the Netherlands have a strong history in this research field. This programme will contribute to the further enhancement of bilateral innovative research on the topic biobased economy which is aimed to provide sustainable solutions for challenges we are facing in our current and future society.

CNPq will provide funding up to R$ 4,000,000, the budget of NWO is € 1,650,000. Each proposal may request to CNPq up to R$ 400,000. Dutch researchers may request funding up to € 300,000.
